Little Bravehearts raising funds for child sexual abuse survivor support

The Denim and Lace Model Support Group are holdinga fundraiser at McIndoe Park to help sexually abused children supported byBravehearts.
There will be a fashion show and family-friendlyentertainment.
Founder of the Denim and Lace Model Support Group,Suszanne Withers, explained that her daughter had organised a cancelled fundraiserfor Drought Angels.
“I decided to form a fundraising group to supportlocal children,” Suszanne said.
“Our group has 160 members so far.
“We do a fundraiser every year, with the 2021fundraiser being for Bravehearts.
Bravehearts Australia Research Director, CarolRonken, said Bravehearts protect children and young people against child sexualassault and exploitation.
“Bravehearts began in 1997 when a disclosure by ourFounder’s daughter said there was no support for victims and survivors of childsexual harms,” Director Ronken said.
“At the time there were no services dedicated toresponding to and preventing childhood sexual abuse.
“We protect children and young people from thishorrific crime and provide a voice to those who are voiceless.
