Local bank asking the tough questions for charity

The Capricornian and Westfund are teaming up with the Emerald Bowls Club on Saturday, May 8 to support struggling families in the Central Highlands community with their Charity Trivia Night from 6.30pm.
In a media statement released by The Capricornian, they said “as Central Queensland’s only local financial institution, The Capricornian has a long-held tradition of supporting the communities in which it operates”.
All proceeds from the trivia night will be donated to the Emerald Neighbourhood Centre to fund their extensive range of services including Emergency Relief, Day to Day Living, Community Connect and the Get Set for Work program.
The Capricornian Emerald Branch Manager Clint Kavanagh said he “hoped local residents and businesses would support the organisation’s efforts and get behind this worthwhile cause”.
“We are hoping to see about 100 people turn out for a fun night to support the Emerald Neighbourhood Centre,” Mr Kavanagh said.
Regular social distancing measures and COVID-19 check ins apply.
For more information, contact The Capricornian Emerald branch on 07 4987 8702.
