The study found that, almost onein 10 Australian women in a relationship have suffered through domesticviolence during the COVID-19 crisis, with two-thirds of these women saying theattacks started or worsened during the pandemic.
The study found that 60 per centof people who were assisted by specialist homelessness agencies in 2018-2019were female.
The Share the Dignity foundationhas a handbag solution: It’s In The Bag.
The Share the Dignity foundationhas called on Australians to donate a handbag which is filled with items thatcould make a difference in a woman’s life for Christmas.
In 2019, 134,392 handbags werecollected for adults, teens, and mums.
